The Sony Carl Zeiss f/2.8 Sonnar T* ZA FE is a high quality ultra compact lens for Sony E Mount Cameras.  On 35mm full frame Alpha bodies it's slightly wide angle and on APS-C Alpha bodies it's a normal lens (equivalent in angle of view to a 52.5mm lens on 35mm format). The small size, versatile 35mm focal length, and outstanding overall performance of this Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* lens make it an ideal match for space saving 35mm full frame format E-mount bodies.

Designed to be weather resistant and made of strong aluminum yet weighing only 120g (4.3oz), the 35mm f/2.8 Sonnar T* FE is one of the lightest full frame 35mm format lenses available.  The optical design on this superb wide angle lens is state of the art and includes three compact double-sided aspherical elements help minimize aberration while maintaining stunning resolution right out to the image edges at all apertures.  The renowned T* lens coating maximizes contrast and natural color reproduction as well.

he maximum aperture is a relatively bright at f/2.8 and a 7 bladed circular diaphragm smooths out focus transitions nicely.  Close focus is a useful .35m (13.8in) and linear focus motor provides fast and quiet autofocus with precision for both still photography and videography.

The f/2.8 Sonnar T* ZA FE is just a great general purpose lens for any E-Mount user.  There just isn't much point in stowing your Alpha with a body cap when you can have this little T* gem ready to go instead.
